Foreword

Stanfords School of English established since November 2000, has gained a reputation for providing all the
language needs of its students. Many of our students combine work and
study in their gap year before returning to Universities in their
country and want to learn English so that they can understand, and be
better understood, as they go about their daily lives in England.
We provide programmes that cater for this functional language needs.
Others want to prepare for exams so that they can return to their
countries, where an English Language certificate gives them a distinct
advantage in finding well paid jobs especially in multi-national
corporations, or to satisfy the English language requirement for
University entry here and abroad.
Stanfords prepares such students for the Cambridge Preliminary English
Test, Cambridge First Certificate in English, Cambridge Advanced
English, Cambridge Proficiency in English and the International
English Language Selection Tests (IELTS).
Our teaching staff are all highly qualified TEFL/TESOL teachers with
a wealth of experience in catering for the needs of adult students.
Students are carefully assessed at time of entry to determine the most
appropriate level at which they should be placed. Thereafter, progress
is carefully monitored by teachers through daily classroom assessments
and periodic internal tests, and students are placed on a programme
appropriate to their progress so that they can be given specific
preparation for their exams
It is through this process that today we can boast of a 100% exam pass rate.
Our most recent Cambridge examination shows one student with grade A, one
Grade B, 4 with Grade C and 1 with Grade 8 in IELTS
